This category awards Mosques working to support the spiritual, emotional and/or intellectual needs of women in the local community. Judges will assess programmes, services and outstanding facilities that cater exclusively for women and girls.
Beacon Mosque has been developed to recognize the role Mosques and Islamic Centres play in the life of towns and cities. Beacon Mosques and some of their excellent services are having an impact on the social and cultural fabric of the communities they operate in and we wanted to recognise those and for others to learn from them.
