Winners of the British Beacon Mosque Awards (BBMA) 2020 rejoiced across the UK, as they received their trophies in person. Shaukat Warraich, CEO of Faith Associates, travelled across London, Bradford, Rochdale, and Manchester to hand out the awards and congratulate the winners for their exemplary work.

Established in 2018, the Beacon Mosque Awards acknowledge and highlight the work of British Islamic faith leaders and institutions across 10 categories. The BBMA were created to showcase the pivotal role mosques and Islamic centers play in local communities and the multiple ways in which they positively contribute to the U.K.’s social fabric. The initiative encourages faith institutions to strive for excellence in various domains including youth outreach, governance, and community services.
