Leeds Grand Mosque (LGM) is the largest Mosque in Leeds with a regular congregation of well over 2000 Muslims, a dramatic increase since its humble beginnings in 1994. Over the last two decades, it has developed to become a truly lively and spirited Mosque, seeking to encapsulate the very ideals on which it now thrives as opposed to being simply a place of worship.
As the population of Leeds grows up and increases in numbers, LGM has to cope with this increase by facilitating its services to meet the needs of its diverse and multicultural community. With more 2000 worshipers attending Friday prayers and more than 4000 of attendees during Ramadan, Eids, it is clear that LGM has become a truly lively and spirited Mosque that must seek to encapsulate the very ideals on which it now thrives as opposed to being simply a place of worship. Therefore, LGM has created unique and innovative techniques to help worshipers access its many services.
The LGM’s innovative services include the following:
- Leeds Grand Mosque website to keep the congregation updated.
- A mailing list to inform the congregation about activities and urgent issues.
