Lantern Academy is a national multi award-winning, Madrassah located in Central Rochdale, offering high-quality education and a rich variety of resources and character development activities aimed to nurture the next generation.

Since winning the British Beacon Mosque Award for Best Madrassah Service in 2020, Lantern Academy, now catering for 400+ students, has undertaken some new initiatives to their already existing portfolio.

• Invited a new member to students; a cat known as ‘Hugo’
• Offer one-to-one support to students with additional needs such as, autism, ADHD and down syndrome.
• Updated the tailored Lantern syllabus with an addition of Al-Ghazali
• Implemented a new course for students aged 16+ known as the ‘Next Step’
• First trip abroad to Istanbul, Turkiye for students.
